Course Introduction
Welcome to your state-mandated CCW class. A renewal course will be required every two years to renew your California CCW. Completion of this online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to submit your CCW application.
This course is broken up into several Sections of instruction that you will be tested on at the end of most sections. You will be required to take a 50 question Final Exam after completing course material. You may start and stop as much as you wish, but you will not be able to move on to the next lesson until you have completed the previous lesson and passed the section test.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print a certificate of completion for 30 days after completion of the course, so try to print your certificate as soon as you finish. You can also screenshot your certificate with your smartphone. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRINT A REPLACEMENT AFTER 30 DAYS HAS PASSED FROM THE TIME YOU BEGAN THE COURSE. You will then take that certificate to RIGHT 2 BEAR for your “live- fire” qualification.
PRINT YOUR CERTIFICATE
View your certificate at the end of the course and Print, Screenshot or Download the document to bring with you for the Live-Fire Qualification. Print the Course Completion Certificate and bring it with you to RIGHT 2 BEAR for your shoot to show proof of completion to the staff.
If you are unable to print the Course Completion Certificate, please take a photo or screenshot of the certificate to your shoot to show the staff. On most devices, you may also be able to download the certificate to Files or Photos in PDF format.
The live-fire qualification must be completed in order to finish your course. You must qualify with all of the firearms you want to put on your permit. Some jurisdictions have no limits on how many guns you can list on your permit. Some jurisdictions only allow up-to a specific number of handguns. Any handgun that you want to carry, must be registered with the California DOJ to
the CCW applicant. You may not use a firearm that was purchased outside of California and never registered with the California DOJ, or that currently belongs to another person.
MINIMUM COURSE OF FIRE:
6 rounds fired at 7 yards
6 rounds fired at 10 yards
6 rounds fired at 15 yards
You will shoot a minimum of 18 rounds per handgun. You are required to shoot at least 6 rounds per each of the three distances. The target is a standard B-27. The shooter must group their shots within center-mass of the target with a passing score of 70% or better. The course-of-fire will be explained in-depth when the student comes in to qualify at Right 2 Bear.
The shooting portion must be scheduled with Right 2 Bear. There will be 4 times, per month, for students to take the shooting test.

A range fee of $20.00 will be required at the time of qualification. Students will need to shoot all the guns that they wish to list onto their CCW permit.
Students will need to have:
-ALL firearms
-Ammunition (NO STEEL)
-Holster (inside or outside the waistband). NO
ankle/shoulder/serpa/pocket holsters
-Gun belt
-2 magazines per semi-automatic
Appropriate attire for range
ALL FIREARMS MUST BE LOCKED AND UNLOADED IN A SECURE
CONTAINER UPON ARRIVAL TO THE RANGE.
